A unique identification card, Aadhaar Card, is issued by the Indian Government for its residents. The unique Aadhaar Number, a 12-digit number, is based on the individual’s specific biometric and demographic data.
The Aadhaar Card is a vital document of identity, and it's a must to link it bank accounts, mobile numbers, ATMs, and various other services. Due to this reason, you've to maintain the details in the Aadhaar database and make sure they're accurate. To update/rectify Aadhaar Card details, UIDAI has designed online and offline methods. While updating Aadhaar, the individual can correct their name, date of birth, email id, mobile number, address, gender, etc.
To update the Aadhaar Card online, the following are the steps:
Step 1: Log in to the Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal using your Aadhaar card number: https://uidai.gov.in/my-aadhaar/update-aadhaar.html
Step 2: Submit your request for change of details, along with the scanned, self-attested proofs.
Step 3: Once the request has been submitted successfully, the applicant shall receive Aadhaar Card Update Request Number, to track the status of the application to update Aadhaar.
