How to link bank account with Aadhaar through Bank Branch?
When an individual has to do KYC, any legal verification, and for identification purposes, the Aadhaar Card is the essential document required. This is the most vital document because it can be used as identity proof, address proof, and age proof. Since the stored information of an individual's Aadhaar card is vital, the Indian Government has launched the concept of linking Aadhaar Cards with bank accounts.
To link Aadhaar with bank accounts offline, the account holders have to visit its bank branch. Following is the method of doing it:
- Get the form of 'Bank account- Aadhaar linking form' from the nearest bank branch. The form can also be downloaded from the bank's website.
- Fill up the form with all the required information, including your bank account number and the 12-digit Aadhaar number.
- Submit the form along with the self-attested copy of your Aadhaar Card. Do note for verification purposes you will be required to show the original Aadhaar Card to the bank official.
- Once the process completes successfully, you will receive a confirmation message on your registered mobile number.
