An Indian citizen who wishes to enjoy some of the government welfare facilities offered by the Government of India, it will have to obtain an Aadhaar Card. The Aadhaar Card, a vital document that acts as a proof of identity and address of an individual, has a 12-digit unique identification number, known as Aadhaar Number. This is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
On the other hand, the E-Aadhaar is the electronic version of Aadhaar Card of an Indian citizen that is as valid as the physical copy. E-Aadhaar also is a verifiable 12-digit unique identification number issued by UIDAI. Just like the Aadhaar card, E-Aaddhaar bears the individual's biometric details, picture, Aadhaar number, and demographic details like its name, date of birth, and gender.
