The Aadhaar card, a unique identification number, is issued to every citizen of India. LPG Subsidy: The LPG subsidy is directly transferred to the bank account in which the 12-digit Aadhaar number is linked. For this, the consumer has to visit his/her area distributor and get his/her Aadhaar linked with the consumer number. Along with LPG subsidy, to claim various other subsidies you just need to link Aadhaar number with government schemes. Do make sure your bank account is also linked with the Aadhaar to avail these subsidies.

Monthly Pension: To reduce incidents of fake beneficiaries, the pensioners in selected states, will have to register their Aadhaar Card to their respective department to obtain their pension.

Speedy delivery of Passports: If you possess an Aadhaar Card, then you can get your passport in only 10 days. In this, police verification is done at a later stage which eliminates the time-consuming stage. 

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY): Aadhaar is the only sufficient document to open an account under this scheme. It also includes the benefits of RuPay Card, insurance etc.

Reliable Biometric Identity Proof: As of today, Aadhaar card is the most reliable identity proofs because it has the individual’s biometric details along with the demographic data. Moreover, if the original copy isn’t with you, just download the e-Aadhaar to use it in place of Aadhaar.

Easily Share and Carry for e-KYC: Since the launch of mAadhaar app, anyone now can easily carry its Aadhaar wherever they go. In the app, you can create your profile and download the Aadhaar in it.
