Who is eligible for PMKVY?

India strives to improve the overall life of its citizens, especially of the youth because they form the building blocks for the country's future. Thus, for this reason, the Government of India has launched Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY). PMKVY is a scheme with the motto to train and enhance the skills of the youth.

Due to the lack of professional training, various young Indians at times couldn't obtain a suitable job in private or government organizations. With the invention of PMKVY scheme, it'll help the young minds to get trained in the technical courses which can then enable them to obtain a suitable job.

However, they're eligibility criteria to get enrolled in PMKVY. A person is said to be eligible for PMKVY if, he/she is-

  1. An Indian youth, college/school dropout.
  2. Be at least 18 years of age.
  3. Have a valid identity proof such as a Voter’s ID, Aadhaar Card, or a Bank account.
  4. Have an auto-debit Bank of India account
  5. Avails the monetary award for once during the function of PMKVY.
  6. Sector Skill Councils (SSC) may also define any other criteria for the respective job roles.
