Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP), a savings scheme, is crafted to encourage long-term investment and savings and its certificates are available at all India Post Offices and selected public sector banks. The KVP Application forms can also be obtained online.
The process of investing and opening a KVP account is very easy. It can be opened at your nearest post offices or banks in 4 easy simple steps:
1) The duly signed Form A application form should be collected from the post office/bank, and submit it with the required information.
2) Along with the KVP form, submit vital documents such as identity proof (Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Driving License/Voter ID), and address proof (Passport/Electricity Bill/Water Bill/Bank statement) to verify the process of KYC.
3) When the verification of documents is done, you can begin to make deposits in form of cash, cheque or demand draft in favour of the “Post Master General”
4) Once the payment is done you will receive your KVP certificate through the post. Keep this safe as you'll require it at the time of withdrawal. If you desire to receive the certificate through email, do instruct them to do so.
