Begin the KYC process: Visit the website of a fund house, registrar or transfer agent to begin with the KYC process. Provide details like Name, DOB, contact details etc.
Verification: The investor’s identity is verified through a video call. Aadhar details, then all the fields will be auto-filled, and no verification will take place, but this limits him to annual investment of Rs.50,000.
Select a fund: The investor must select a suitable mutual fund scheme of a particular fund house.
Visit the Mutual Fund Company’s website: Create a new account by filling in the required details, select user ID and password, and provide the bank details from which the SIP amount shall be debited. Once the registration is complete, the mutual fund company sends a confirmation.
Log in to your account: After logging in, select the fund of your choice, the amount and frequency of SIP. The SIP will start in around 7-30 days after this.
